Welcome

Finding the right counsellor is hard isn’t it - where do you even start?

Chances are, it was a gut feeling that led you to my website; something about me stood out to you. Therefore, listening to that gut feeling might be a great place to start your search.

If after reading my page you feel you would like to see what it might be like to work together, then I would invite you to get in touch to arrange a free, no obligation 20 minute introductory call - this will give a better sense of whether or not we might be a good fit.

So why do people come to counselling? It might be that you’ve tried everything else to help you feel better and nothing seems to have worked. Perhaps you’re wondering if talking to someone outside of your circle; someone more neutral, might help.

Whatever your reason for seeking counselling you will never be wasting my time - even if you feel that other people might have bigger problems, your struggles are always valid and part of what makes you human. I know this because I find life hard too. However, what counselling can offer is the tools to make those hard times feel more manageable.

Who do I work with?

I work with individuals over the age of 18, either in person at my room in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, or online nationwide via Zoom. I can also offer telephone counselling if preferred.

Due to my own backstory, I have a particular interest in working with people who may have felt like the odd one out in their family. Perhaps you feel torn between a sense of duty towards your family, but also a desire to have your own space and live in a way that feels more true to yourself. Maybe as a child you didn’t feel understood, and so learnt to become really self-sufficient, but now you are exhausted from carrying everything on your own.

There is no right or wrong reason for seeking counselling - we all have a right to feel seen, heard and valued for who we are; our true selves rather than who the world expects us to be.

I commonly work with the following issues:

  • Family issues

  • Sibling rivalry

  • Bereavement

  • Peri Natal Illness

  • Anxiety and/or Depression

  • Suicidal thoughts

  • Loneliness

  • Low self-esteem

  • People Pleasing

  • Relationship issues

As a Person-Centred Counsellor, you (the person) will always be at the centre of the work. You have been qualified in being you your whole life, therefore, I will not offer you advice or tell you what to do.

I strongly believe that true fulfilment comes from developing a deep connection to ourselves - knowing (and trusting) our own mind, and having a clear sense of ourselves and who we truly are.

If you think you might like to begin working with me, please complete the contact form found in the main menu. Alternatively, you can email/text me via the contact details at the bottom of this page, including a brief description of your reasons for seeking counselling and any questions you may have.

I very much look forward to hearing from you.
